Excited! Delighted! Enthusiastic! Thrilled! The Muskegon County Convention & Visitors Bureau feels this, and more, to have the opportunity to welcome your tour groups to our picturesque location on the shore of beautiful Lake Michigan. Muskegon is just a short drive from Detroit, Chicago, Indianapolis and Milwaukee, but a world away from big-city traffic and prices.

Year-round activities flourish in this haven by the shore, with 26 miles of Lake Michigan beachfront. Nature trails, Muskegon’s sport fishing fleet, harness racing, theme parks, a dinner cruiseship, cross-country skiing, luge run, professional hockey, a county museum, art museum, historical homes, a World War II submarine and miles of beaches are just a few of the variety of things we have to do and see in Muskegon County.

Our restaurants range from the sophistacted, including a panoramic lake view, to cozy pubs featuring burgers, beverages and laughter. And the price will fit nicely into any budget.

Our array of fine hotels will give you a wide range of choices for your groups.

The Visitors Bureau will provide you with a group tour planning guide, along with our undivided personal attention, to assist you with your group tour plans. This guide offers information on area attractions, hotels and restaurants anxious to serve your groups. A wide variety of informative brochures, maps and a current calendar of events are available also.

Assisting groups with itinerary planning and group arrangements is a primary goal of the Bureau. As a quality assurance measure we welcome tour operators and group leaders to view our county on a familiarization tour.

As the seasons change so does our world on the lakefront. Plan to visit us and view these changes.

The Bureau is proud to be a member of Circle Michigan, American Bus Association and National Tour Association.
